As his daughter, one of the memories I hold dear is riding in his Riviera while Rick James played through the speakers, especially that one favorite track of his. We didn’t always say much, but those drives had a rhythm of their own. The music, the car, the quiet, it all stays with me. My love for music, especially instrumentals, comes from you..
