Joe Amoya Palomina

Joe Amoya Palomina passed away on February 14th, 2026, at the age of 96. Originally born in
Westminster, California, he worked as a young man in the agricultural and farming industry
through the 1930s and 1940s. In 1950, he began work at the Campbell’s Soup Cannery in
Sacramento, where he was a skilled complex machinery operator for 42 years until his
retirement in 1992. He also was an SAE-certified automotive mechanic and engineer – self
taught and experienced in everything from minor repairs to complete engine and transmission
overhauls. His hobbies and interests including everything from mechanical work to house
construction and repairs. He was a loving husband and father, and also an example of personal
and professional ethics at the highest level – always hard-working and skilled at everything he
pursued. He is survived by his son Joe Jr. and daughter in law Lori, who love and will miss him
very much.
Joe now moves into the next life where he rejoins his wife Consuelo G. Palomina, married from
1954 until her passing in May, 2009. They are loved by an extended family and those who were
close to them. May they both be remembered for their lives lived with kindness and giving to
those around them who enjoyed their caring and love.
