Obituary of William James Rhodes Sr.

William James Rhodes Sr. Was born on May 17, 1966 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Arnold and Catherine Rhodes, and entered into rest peacefully on August 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and family. William was a resident of the greater Sacramento area for the last 37 years of his life and proudly worked for The Volunteers Of America as a Transportation Specialist and Mentor. He loved going to church to serve the Lord, and was the head usher and active leader at Victory Outreach Church, Rancho Cordova. He had a passion for music and loved to DJ, play the drums and dance. He will probably be remembered most for his distinct laugh, break-dancing and pop-locking skills. William was a "whole hearted", funny and loving man who always greeted you with a smile, a smile that will be missed by many. William is preceded in death by his parents; Arnold and Catherine Rhodes, his brother John Andrews and his grandparents; Terry and Allen Mason and Esther and George Rhodes.He is survived by his loving wife Yolanda Rhodes, children; Miguel Rhodes, Cathrine Rhodes, William Rhodes, Jr., Dominic Rhodes, Salvador Rivera, Sandra Epps, Trisha Scott, Tina Rivera, Jessica Cotton and Mikah Moses, siblings; Sabrina Andrews, Deborah Moore, Pam Brue, Christina Ballejo and Chanel Small, 15 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends are invited to attend services at the Victory Outreach Church at 10:00 AM, August 28, 2018.
