Obituary of Danny Martin
Please share a memory of Danny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Danny Lee Martin, 72, of Elk Grove, California, passed away February 6, 2021 in his home, surrounded
by family. He was born June 2, 1948 in Sacramento to George and Lena Martin. Danny was the oldest of
three children and survived his brother Ric, and sister Dodie.
On May 2, 1999, he married Janice McCullough who cared for him in his last few years of illness.
Danny followed his father’s footsteps and worked for Teichert Construction for 37 years. He put in most
of the sewer and water for Elk Grove, Laguna, and Rancho Cordova. Danny was a member of the
Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 447 for over 40 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. He loved the Wild West
era and proudly displayed a mounted buffalo head in his living room, an homage to his Cherokee
heritage.
Danny is survived by his mother Lena, his wife Jan and three sons, Bruce (and Melissa) Bohlmann, Bryan
Martin, and Brandon (and Brooke) Martin. He is also survived by his stepchildren Cassie Dunham and
Leslie Beard, his niece Nicole and her husband Thomas Hall. Danny leaves behind ten grandchildren,

Bryce Martin, and Olivia and Piper Hall, and great grandchildren Kenley Rose and Pheobe Mae, and
Wesley Braido.

Martin.
