Obituary of Janis Madonna Kinslow

Please share a memory of Janis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born unto Joseph and Viola Adams on March 13, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. She attended 49th Street Elementary School and Carver Jr. High School. She went to work as a live-in house keeper at an early age. Janis met and married Buster Samuel Kinslow on April 12, 1965. They moved to Compton, California and out of that union Janis gave birth to two sons, Joseph and Johnny Kinslow. They were a loving family - everyone who knew them, loved them. Janis had a loving and kind spirit. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend to many, and she loved to have fun. Janis received her license from the State of California to run a very successful family daycare home for children in Compton, California. Her two sons were the love of her life. In 1989 God called home to rest, her youngest son Johnny Kinslow. The family then relocated to Sacramento, California. With that same loving spirit that Janis had, she made new friends in Sacramento, and the old friends always came to visit. On May 19, 2011, God called Janis home to rest alongside family who preceded her in death: her beloved son Johnny Kinslow, her father Joseph Adams, her mother Viola B. Adams, sisters Ladonya and Quincetta, and brothers Cowan and Tearlee. She leaves behind to carry on her memory: her son Joseph Kinslow, husband Buster S. Kinslow, brother Dale Adams, sister Marlene Adams, grandson Little Johnny Kinslow, granddaughters Asia and Reign Kinslow, one unborn grandchild, special niece Renea Smith and her husband James Smith, and a host of stepdaughters, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends who will always remember her love and kindness. On behalf of the family, we thank everyone for their expressions of love through cards that were sent, prayers, flowers, food, telephone calls, and home visits. May God Bless You All.
