Obituary of Ardes Lee Brewster

Born and raised in Selden, Kansas, Ardes passed away on October 13, 2011 in Sacramento, California. After graduating high school, Ardes Pope came to California and attended Sacramento City College. She then moved to Oakland to attend Highland School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. While briefly residing in Vallejo, she met and married Howard Brewster. They moved to Sacramento where they spent the rest of their lives together until Howard's death in 2001. Ardes was a proud District Organizer for the Sacramento area Campfire Girls in the 1960's, and a nurse for 40 years. Preceded in death by her husband and 5 siblings, Ardes is survived by her step-son Howard, daughter Rebecca, adopted son Stanley, grand-daughter Kelly, and her cat Dimples. Per her request, no funeral services will be held.
