Haruo Tao
April 15, 1928 – February 16, 2021
Born in Hiroshima, Japan, Haruo Tao was the youngest of six children born to Juichi and Yukino Keunji Tao. After World War II, he immigrated to Sacramento with his wife and three children. Haruoo worked as a landscaper for over 40 years. His passion was bonsai and suiseki, and he was, for many years, active in the Sacramento Bonsai Club.
He is survived by his wife, Misue Tao; three children: Hiroshi Tao of Sacramento, CA; Yukikazu Tao (Jennifer) of Gig Harbor, WA; and Michikazu Jody Tao (Signe) of Elk Grove, CA; and six grandchildren: Jude Hargett, Like Tao, Christine Tao Knisely, Eric Tao, Kevin Tao, and Alana Tao; and eight great-grandchildren.
Haruo was a member of the Sacrament Buddhist Church. He will be interred at Sacramento Memorial Lawn.
