Virginia Lee Hights was born on February 8th, 1937, to the late Henry Hights and Earline Johnson in Wardell Missouri. Virginia became the gateway to the west to her younger brothers and sisters. She allowed them to stay with her while the siblings found a new life in Sacramento. During her time in Sacramento, Virginia became a nurse and worked at several hospitals and assisted living centers, all while raising 3 kids as a single mother. Virginia in order to support her family would often work 2 jobs at the same time. Even though she worked many hours, she was always there for her children. Virginia considered raising her children to be her crowning achievemnt. She was proud of how each her children turned out. Virginia enjoyed working in the nursing field until the age of 80.
