Obituary of Gloria Marquez
Gloria Marquez, of Sacramento, California, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at her home.
She was born April 23, 1951 to Faustino and Felizitas Marquez in Sacramento, California.
Gloria graduated from Van Nuys High School with the class of 1969 in Van Nuys, Southern California. She lived in Sacramento, California for most of her life.
Gloria was a member of the Church of God (seventh day) all her life and served her local Church for many years, and also served in the capacity of a board member of her Church until her passing.
Gloria worked as an Administrative Assistant for UC Davis Medical Center in the Infectious Diseases Division-Department of Internal Medicine for a total of over 35 years.
Gloria thoroughly enjoyed volunteering/helping at Church functions, Super Sabbath Celebrations, and she loved to Quilt. Gloria also loved chocolate and loved to bake(Congo Squares).
Gloria worked in the Office of the General Conference in Denver, Colorado for 2 years in the late 70's and early 80's.
Gloria volunteered and traveled with the "Shine" Mission/Medical team for several years. Gloria was a very giving and selfless person, always ready to help in any way she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Faustino and Felizitas Marquez and Grandmother Librada Ojeda.
Survivors include her Sister Angie Regalado(Manuel), Brother John Marquez(Maria), Sister Anita Marquez, Brother Faustino Marquez Jr.(Esther), Brother Ruben Marquez(Priscilla), Brother Estevan Marquez and numerous other Nephews and Nieces.
Visitation will be from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Tuesday, January 04, 2021 and evening service time from 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Wednesday Morning Service will be 11:00am January 05, 2021 at Sacramento Memorial Lawn. Burial will follow at Sacramento Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
