Obituary of Juana Vasquez Torres

Juana Torres May 24, 1914 - May 25, 2022 Sacramento, California - Juana Vasquez Torres was born on May 24th, 1914 in Temosachic Chihuahua Mexico and passed away peacefully in her home in Sacramento on May 25, 2022. Her parents were Carlos Vasquez and Betsabe Vega. She and her 2 brothers and 4 sisters, all deceased, grew up on a farm known as El Refugio. She became a school teacher and taught at the Colegio Palmore in Chihuahua from 1939 to 1950. She married Arthur Torres in 1950 and they lived in Sacramento where he was from. She is survived by 2 sons Arthur (Carolina) and Raphael (Clotilde), 5 grand daughters, 2 grandsons and 6 great grand children. She was very talented at many hobbies including growing roses, oil painting, ceramics, sewing and knitting. Viewing will be from 4 to 8 PM on June 7. Mass and burial will be on June 8 at 10 AM. All services will be at Sacramento Memorial Lawn,, 6100 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento.
