Obituary of Amrik Singh
Amrik Singh Rehill, 85, of Sacramento, passed away on April 13, 2023 after a few weeks of respiratory disease.
Amrik was born on May 14, 1937 to Teja Singh and Dhan Kaur in village Dhade Fateh Singh, Punjab. He completed his matriculation certificate and went on to become a bus conductor in India for many years. Thus, he was familiar with many places, cities, and villages. Besides Punjabi, he was fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Farsi.
Amrik and his family moved to the USA in July 1994 and he went on to work as a hotel security guard.
His favorite hobbies were to watch the news every day, go out for walks, and he really enjoyed socializing with any Punjabi/ Indian person he met in public and getting to know their background. He liked sharing his past experiences and history with everyone.
Amrik was a very joyous, kindhearted, and caring person. He always approached everyone with a warm smile on his face. He was a wonderful husband, caring father, and the most loving grandfather that anyone could have.
We will always cherish the fond memories we have with him. No longer by our side, forever in our memories, forever in our hearts. He will be greatly missed by all.
