Rose Armijo Zamarripa passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2023 at her residence in Sacramento. She was born on August 30, 1936 and was 86 years old. Her family is deeply saddened by her passing. 

Rose is survived by her three sons, Edward, Raul and Daniel, her eight grandchildren (Angela, Tommy, Pamela, Joseph, Madeline, Marissa, Marguerite and Alissa) and her four great-grandchildren (George, Rosalee, Julian and Grayson). 

Rose was predeceased by her parents, her siblings and her husband, Antonio Zamarripa.

Rose was born in San Miguel, New Mexico to Cruz and Teresa Armijo. Her family moved to Bakersfield, California when she was a teenager and that is where she met her husband, Antonio. They were married when she was 19 years old and moved to Sacramento where they raised their three boys. 

Rose was a beautiful person inside and out. She was very strong in her Catholic faith and prayed daily. She loved the ocean and felt at peace watching the waves crash against the shore. Her family was everything to her and she cared deeply for the people around her. She made an impact on many people and will be forever missed.
