Warren G.H. Tippie passed away on July 4, 2023 in Sacramento, California at 101 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Mayola Tippie; and parents, Minnie and Floyd Tippie.  Warren was born in Wilmot, Arkansas on August 10, 1921. Warren was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1941 during World War II and served as a Medic. He moved to Sacramento, CA in 1966 and retired from McClellan Air Force Base in 1983. Warren was a member of Kyles Temple A.M.E. Zion Church for over 50 years. Some of Warren’s hobbies included watching boxing, cooking, cutting hair, fishing, reading the Bible, traveling, and attending family reunions.  Warren is survived by his sisters, Florence Stephens, Easter Grey, Sharlene Richard; six children, Alphonso Tippie, Walter Thomas, Arlena Tippie, Carla Lewis, Warren Tippie Jr., and Crystal Willis; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives, church family and friends.
