James passed away peacefully at Five Star Care Home of Elk Grove after a long battle with chronic kidney disease. James (affectionately known as Dan) joined the Navy after graduating from high school in Arroyo Grande, CA. He worked many years at the Sacramento Army Depot and retired. He also worked as a Route Checker at Sac RT and retired. Prior to his death, James and his late wife, Carolyn Soto, were very active members of VFW Post 1267.
He is survived by his son, William (Soto) Lamberson of Newman, CA. Nieces Debbie (Soto) Haprov of Fullerton, CA. Rheta Marling and Nephew Jeff Marling of Bend, Oregon.
A committal service will be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn on March 13, 2024 at 11:00AM
