Nelida “Nellie” Molina Marcale

 April 30, 1942 – July 2, 2024,  Age 82

Nellie was born in Mason, Province of Iloilo, Philippines to Florencio Molina and Paz Molina. 

She married Leopoldo “Pol” Marcale in 1968 in Manila, Philippines at the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center Chapel. They were blessed with 3 children – Marcel, Glenda and Sonia.  

Nellie was preceded in death by her father, mother, her 2 brothers, and her beloved husband in 1988 and granddaughter, Emma Marcale. Nellie is survived by her three children, her daughter-in-law Susan Marcale and son-in-law Danny Duane.  Nellie is also survived by her four grandchildren – Maggie Pratt, Zachery Pratt, Mia Marcale and Bella Duane.  

Nellie worked as an analyst for 32 years for the State of California’s Employment Development Department. She retired in 2007 to spend more time traveling and to enjoy more quality time with her family. 

Nellie’s greatest joys were her family and her Catholic faith.  She was an adventurous traveler and visited over 77 different countries and locations.  Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, cooking, playing lotto, and dancing. 

Nellie is tremendously missed by her family and friends.
