Jesse M. Rosas, Sr. born April 1, 1936, In Santa Barbara Chihuahua, Mexico. Mother Santiaga Quiroz. He passed In Sacramento, CA on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, early morning. Jesse, Sr.‘s survived by his younger sisters Tina Serrato and Gloria Gallegos, and brother Lupe Rosas. He is a beloved father of Jesse Rosas Jr., Danny Rosas, a stepfather to Betty Gamez, and preceded by his youngest son Johnny Rosas in 1992. He was a father-in-law to Noel Rosas and Rachel Rosas, and grandfather to Angela Chavez, Celia Rodriguez, Danny Rosas. Jr., Raquel Rosas, and great-grandfather to Robert Rodriguez. Jesse Sr. was also a loving uncle to his siblings’ children.

 Jesse Rosas, Sr. moved from Mexico to Texas, then to Sacramento around 1953, or so. Then from Sacramento to El Centro, CA where he graduated high school on, June 6, 1957. He was married for 11 years to Maria Isabel, where he Fathered three children, they later divorced, Jesse Sr. did not remarry.

While Jesse worked various jobs during his years, he especially enjoyed working in the restaurant industry, he enjoyed cooking and was very much the food critic. He liked frequenting his favorite local neighborhood restaurant Alonzo's and valued the comradery he found there. He also enjoyed reading and shopping at thrift stores - he was always looking for a good deal!
