Obituary of Peggy D. Oakes

Sunrise 6/6/16 - Sunset 4/28/14 Beloved wife of Nick Oakes for 71 years till his death in 2009. Survived by their two daughters Patti Breshears (Ron) of Rogue River, Oregon, and Vicki Penner (Ted) of Elk Grove, CA.; four grandchildren, Scott Hendrix, Debbie Woodall, Danelle Powers, and Matthew Penner; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie Gilbert, Staci Shippy, Ashley Powers, Kyle Powers and Katelyn Hendrix; and making 5 generations are her four great-great grandchildren, Ty Gilbert, Troy Gilbert, Ann-Berlin Shippy and Trip Shippy; and loving niece Vicky Haymore and her family. Peggy and Nick had many beloved friends and were long time residents of Sacramento until Peggy later moved to Elk Grove to be with her daughter Vicki and family. Peggy worked for the Federal Government and Nick worked for the Railway Express. Upon retirement they took up golf and traveled around with friends doing tournaments and trips to Reno. But they especially loved spending much time with family all over. We would like to thank Kaiser South for all their help and services to our parents. Per their request there will be no services.
