Obituary of Everett Richard Lewis

Passed away on January 19, 2011 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; his daughter Cheryl Berning (Bob) of Larkspur, Colorado; Son Larry Lewis of Sacramento, and daughter Karen Lewis of Tonasket, Washington. Also survived by 6 grandchildren: Michelle Satek, Kelley Kovar, Nichole Lewis, Jennifer Wildley, and Jessica Hollingshead; 2 great-grandchildren: Tanner and Savannah Kovar; 3 brothers: Harmon, David, and Paul; 4 sisters: Pearl, Ruth, Martha, and Phyllis; 5 brother-in-laws, 4 sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1943-1946 and was assigned to the USS Miller during WWII. Everett worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a switchman for 39 years, and he was a Master Mason and member of Tehama Lodge #3 for 60 years. He was a member of the First Church of God of Sacramento, where he served as an usher. At his request cremation has already taken place. Interment service will be held at a later date.
