Clelia was born on November 6, 1921 in Del Rio, Texas to parents Felix and Maria Rodriguez. She passed away at the age of 92 on February 24, 2014 in Placerville, California surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernesto R. Briones, Sr., son Ernesto Jr., and her brothers Alfredo and Cecilio. Clelia is survived by her daughters Carmen Briones and Rose Mary Majors; grandchildren Daniel Delgado, Lisa Marie Delgado, Ashley Majors, Kathryn Briones-Crawford, Marcos Ernesto Briones-Crawford, and many more loving family members and friends. Clelia traveled from Texas to California regularly for work, before she decided to move to Los Angeles in the 1950's where she met and married Ernesto R. Briones. They were married for 31 years before his death in 1986. She loved country music, dancing, cooking, and most of all, her family. When she spoke of them, she referred to her loved ones as, "My Carmen", or "My Rose Mary". Her love for her family was immense and just as a mother's love should be. She will be dearly missed.
