Lessie Bell Dent (Berryhill) was born in Leesburg Georgia to Essie Mae Bell and Moses (Beau) Berryhill on August 4, 1925. The Lord called Lessie home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Lessie was raised by her adopted parents, Hattie and Sherman Williams. Lessie had one child, Willie C. Willis. Lessie married the love of her life, John E. Dent on January 14, 1961. Lovingly nicknamed Chipper by her husband, they were happily married for 57 years. Lessie was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grandmother. Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Willie C. Willis Sr., and her adopted brother Calvin Williams. Lessie leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband John Dent, her daughter-in-law Juanita Willis, her six grandchildren: Vuanita Niblett (Johnnie), Billie Jo Gruwell, Cynthia Willis, Willie Willis Jr., Desiree Jordan (Edward) and Destiny Joy Kornegay (Kevin), and her adopted granddaughter Sonia Harris (John), a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.
