Obituary of Earl Charles Maroney

Born November 4, 1921 in Dubuque, Iowa, he passed away on October 6, 2014 in Holts Summit, Missouri. Earl was a proud Marine who served his country during WWII, fighting in the Battle of Tarawa. He worked on the railroad for 31 years, and in his free time he loved to camp and pan for gold. Preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Gertrude Maroney, and his sister Katherine, Earl is survived by his son Gary Maroney, daughter-in-law Patricia, granddaughter Rebecca Johnson and her husband Jamie, great-granddaughters Lori and Sara, and his devoted caretaker and friend Christy Warchol. He will be missed. Sacramento Memorial Lawn honors the life of Earl Charles Maroney.
