Jai "J.P." PRAKASH | Visit Guest Book PRAKASH, Jai ''J.P.'' On May 22, 2010, longtime Modesto and Sacramento resident Jai ''J.P.'' Prakash's battle with cancer came to an end; however, this will not be seen as a loss but rather as an example of his unmatched strength and resilient character. J.P. fought long and hard and the quality of his strength was matched by none. He was a strong-willed man who stood as the heart of our family. His genuine smile and natural charisma never left him no matter how bad the day went along. He was truly an inspiration, and to his family, especially, he was a hero. He will always be the umbrella of our family, our comfort from the storm, shielding us, guiding us, and protecting us. He was an amazing father, outstanding son, dedicated brother, loyal uncle, hard worker, and a faithful friend. He was surrounded by his close family members when he passed and is survived by his son Jason; daughter Josie; his mother Ram Kumari; brother Chris; sisters Prabha, Kiran, and Mohini; brothers-in-law Prem, Deo, and Naren, sisters-in-law Arun and Ashwani; as well as his 16 nieces and nephews and three grandchildren. We will never forget our best friend and will always ensure that his memory remains alive within each of us. Viewing this evening will be held on May 25 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the SACRAMENTO MEMROIAL LAWN, with memorial service on May 26 from 12 - 3 p.m.
