Born August 28, 1924, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Elena passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 10, 2010. She had six children: Eugene, Nellie, Napoleon, Modesta, Christopher and Randy. Elena with children arrived in the U.S. in 1958 to join her husband. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was also a poet, seamstress and chef. She provided loving care, food and clothing to her family and friends. Married to a WWII Veteran, she became a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 604. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010, from 4-8pm with a Rosary to begin at 6pm. Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Bl, Sacramento 95824. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10am. St. Paul's Catholic Church, 8720 Florin Rd, Sacramento 95828. Interment to follow at St Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave, Sacramento, CA 95820.
