Born to parents Henry Arthur Abbott and Carrie Elizabeth Abbott on July 5, 1915 in Mason County, Illinois, she passed away April 11, 2012 in Sacramento, CA. A resident of Sacramento since 1943, Alice was a devoted clerk secretary with the Sacramento Board of Education at Oak Ridge School for 35 years. She held a BA in business administration, and was a parishioner at Centennial Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Charles Emil Gibson, Alice is survived by her sons Thomas and Harold Gibson, 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great granchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday, 4/17 from 4-8pm, with a funeral service on Wednesday, 4/18 at 11:00am, both at Sacramento Memorial Lawn.
