Obituary of Janet Yvonne Jastraub

On August 7th Janet passed away peacefully in her sleep from her short battle with cancer. Jan was surrounded by family and friends. Jan was born in Canal Fulton, Ohio and moved to Sacramento in 1953where she resided until her death. Janet is survived by her husband John Jastraub, daughters: Janet Macharro,(Martin), Michelle Jastraub, and Lisa Jastraub. Son, Michael Jastraub, her sister, Sandra Younker (Bob), Brothers, Gerald Hammock(Val), Buddy Hammock (Kathy), 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mom and dad, Betty and Roy Hammock and son Johnny Jastraub. A Funeral service will be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento on Tuesday, August 16th @ 1pm. Burial will be private and held in Canal Fulton, Ohio where she will be laid to rest with her mother and father. A reception will follow . God looked around his garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'. It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
