Obituary of Pablo Raquel

Pablo Rabang Raquel passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Sacramento, California. He was born on January 15, 1926 in San Pedro, Vigan Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is the 2nd youngest of nine brothers and sisters. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and was employed as a public school teacher for 28 years in the Philippines. He was a musician and a member of the Public School Teachers Band and also Community Band. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his Saxophone and attending to his gardens. At the age of 50, he came to the United States of America and worked in the Department of Motor Vehicles for 12 years. He retired at the age 65. Pablo is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alejandrina Castillo Raquel; along with his two daughters Annie and her husband Graciano Casis and CeAnn and her husband Eric Ruta; two granddaughters Tiffany and her husband Erik Hackenschmidt and Rhiannon and her fiancé Mark Cummings; one great granddaughter Harper Cummings; many loving nieces, nephews and relatives. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 2 p.m. at St. Rose Church & Cemetery burial at Sacramento Memorial Lawn to follow.
