Peggy L Allen, 79, passed away on November 5th, 2018 in Sacramento, California on her 48th Wedding Anniversary. Peggy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to James McPherson and Mae Sweets on March 15th, 1939. She was a passionate congregant at Faith Landmark Missionary Baptist Church since 1970, where she served not only on the Usher’s Board, but also for the Ladies, Seniors, and Kitchen Ministries. Peggy worked for the Sacramento Unified School District for 17 years, where she was a bus driver for Special Education students. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Kisby Allen. Peggy is survived by her husband, Earl L Allen; her son Steve Brown; her daughters Shawna Allen-Grey (Alonzo ), Kenitra Jones, Marsheal Jackson (Steve ), Sabrina Moore; as well as 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her sister Anne McPherson. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13th from 12:00pm until 5:00pm at Sacramento Memorial Lawn. The funeral service will also be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, Wednesday, November 14th, 2018; at 10:00 AM with Pastor Carl Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Sacramento Memorial Lawn in the Evergreen Garden.
