Obituary of Lucy Maria Macy

Please share a memory of Lucy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts yet enlightened souls we announce the passing of Lucy Macy, our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Lucy was born May 2, 1926 and went to be with the Lord Monday, September 7, 2015 - aged 89 years. Many will remember Lucy in different ways and for different reasons, yet all should agree that her one constant was her love for, and interest in, people. She was always in the know with her family, her church and her friends. She fostered relationships and kept in constant contact the old-fashioned way, by picking up the phone or dropping by to see someone. She was always available to help and to check on people she knew and people she didn't yet know. Her passion was visible in the Love she shared with her kids, grand kids, nieces and nephews - hugs and kisses as they were young, a listening ear and sage advice as we matured. Lucy was preceded in Heaven by her loving husband Doug, her parents, two of her brothers and two of her sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Gary, Glenn and Ron; two brothers, George and Tony; two sisters, Fran and Ruth; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, at 4 pm at the Gonzales family compound at 6321 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820
