Obituary of Lucille Elizabeth Olson

Lucille (Betty) Elizabeth Olson Born: April 16, 1918 in Pennsylvania Betty moved to Stockton, CA with her family when she was 6 years old. She graduated from Stockton High School in June of 1936 and stayed in Stockton post high school working for a location company until 1943 when she entered the Unite State Navy, the women where known as the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service).It is during this time that Betty meant Roy Olson her future husband. Betty and Roy married on March 24, 1945 in Norman, Oklahoma. Post WWII Betty and Roy moved back to Sacramento, CA and have lived here ever since. Betty was an active volunteer with Camp Fire Girls for about 20 years when her daughters were young and later volunteered her time with the Sutter Hospitals Auxiliary. Betty is survived by her daughter, Marlene Kiser (Duane); grandsons: Jeffrey Kiser, Brett Jelinek and Eric Kiser (Christina) and great-grandchildren Emma and Aiden Kiser. Proceeded in death by husband Roy Olson daughter, Deborah Jelinek and grandson Matthew Jelinek. Betty left this world on her 100th Birthday, 4/16/2018 to be with her Savior. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 1-5PM at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95824. A celebration of Life is to follow for Betty on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive, Sacramento, CA 95819 at 1:00PM.
