Born in French Camp, California on July 31, 1963, Jose left us too soon on February 21, 2012 at the David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA. He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Annie, and their children: son Jose Luis Jr., and daughter Elisa. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Fernando and Aaliyah, siblings Frank e. Angel, Esther Padilla, and Irene Castillo; and a host of loving family and friends. Jose serves his country for 20 years as a Staff Sergeant with the US Army, and he worked for the United States Postal Service for 10 years while in Modesto, CA. On his free time he loved to go crabbing in San Francisco, and BBQ with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4pm-8pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm; Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Peter's Church, 105 S. 2nd Street in Dixon, CA. Interment will follow at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd. in Dixon.
