Kazuko Matsuoka passed quietly surrounded by family and friends on November 27, 2018. Born in Osaka, Japan, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter and brother Shinichi. She is survived by son Kent and countless friends in the community and extended family. As a immigrant, she was a supporter of Japanese cultural outreach and education through Jan Ken Po and the Matsuyama Sister City Corporation. A naturalized citizen, she was a proud member of the Nisei VFW Post 8985 auxiliary and other local civic organizations. A memorial service will be held at Sacramento Japanese United Methodist church on January 6, 2019 at 1:30pm
