Obituary of Mable Alice Axberg

Mable "Alice" Axberg, age 94, passed away peacefully February 4, 2015 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Alice was born in Athabasca, Alberta Canada and moved to Sacramento with her family at the age of 5. She graduated from Chico State in 1942 and later taught elementary school. Alice married Karl Ivar Axberg in 1943 and had two children, Robert and Jeanne. She lived in the same neighborhood for 85 years prior to moving to Texas. Alice was a member of the Salvation Army's Home League, Blind Society, Wesley Methodist Church, and attended The Church of God. Over the years, she made many longtime friends that she kept in contact with. The last 4 years while living with daughter Jeanne in Texas she made new friends and enjoyed her weekly FABB group activities. Alice will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by son Robert (Loretta), daughter Jeanne, 7 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Alice was a very proud grandmother. Alice was preceded in death by loving husband Ivar; brother, Raymond Gardner, and great-grandson, Matthew Lancaster.
