Piyara Singh was born in the Fiji Islands on July 29, 1935 to Batna Singh and Amar Kaur and entered into rest on May 7, 2018 in Sacramento, California. Piyara is survived by his two brothers Sohan S. Sahota and Bhajan S. Sahota, his sons Nirmal S. Sahota and Harkewal S. Sahota, and his daughters Gurmej K. Boparai, Balbir K. Boparai, Jasbeer K. Pabla, and Amrit K. Prasad. He was loved by 14 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandkids. Piyara loved going to the Sikh Temple, camping trips with his family, gardening and reading articles from newspapers back home.
