Obituary of Dennis D. Schulte

Dennis Dwayne Schulte a beloved husband of 57 years, devoted father, cherished Papa and great
grandpa passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2023 at the age of 77 years. He lost his long battle
with COPD and CHF. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Reinhart and Cleon Schulte and baby
brother James John Schulte. Dennis leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Dawn Wheeler Schulte, his 3
children James (Tina) Schulte, Cindy (Robert) Swanson and Tracey (Steve) Ballard as well as 12
grandchildren; Christina and Stephanie Schulte, William Alexander, Britney (James) Bloom, Tyler Silvia,
Robb and Sami Swanson, Vincent, Jacob and Erin Chelini, Erika and Michael Ballard and 2 great-grand
daughters Enjoli Swanson and Willow Bloom. Dennis is also survived by his 4 siblings: Janice (Frank)
Yates, Sandy (Phil) Hyson, Robert (Debbie) Schulte, and Terri (George) Procida and extended family.

Dennis was a roofer in his younger years and was instrumental as a computer programmer with the
State Department of Justice for 36 years. Dennis enjoyed painting, water skiing, music, golf, fishing and
spending time with his family. He enjoyed his Facebook community and appreciated everyone playing
online games with him and keeping in touch virtually. Dennis will always be remembered for his caring
heart, his funny uncensored sense of humor, and his loving guidance he provided to all.

Rosary Services will be held at the Sacramento Memorial Lawn on Stockton Blvd. on June 2 nd at 3:00pm.
A private burial will be held at St. Marys in Sacramento, CA. with a celebration of life event afterwards.
